The Weekly Mailer has been disbanded
After careful consideration, I have decided to disband the Weekly Mailer that has been going out every Thurday. It is a very time consuming task and here lately I have been working some very long and unpredictable hours at work. I do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you fine folks out there and there is a chance in the future I might bring this option back when my career settles down a bit. No worries, the Pow-Wow and Alternative Event postings will still be posted up as I receive them. So keep those submissions and flyers coming in and I'll continue to post them up for the Oklahoma Pow-Wow Public. Thanks for your understanding. Ura!

August 2009 Interview - George Alexander
It's been quite a few months since I completed the interview of Wallace Coffey and after that long lapse in the space/time continuum, I was inspired to interview my next subject. I couldn't have picked out a more interesting subject for the August 2009 interview. This gentleman calls Ponca City, Oklahoma home and he is one of the best Southern Style Fancy Dancers in the World. Don't believe me? He just collected his 7th World Championship Fancy Dance Trophy at the 133rd Annual Ponca Pow-Wow, the Grandaddy of all Oklahoma Pow-Wows. George Alexander is also my Otoe brother but this interview wasn't going to be a lounge session as I asked him some pretty intense questions especially when it came to his thoughts on the state of the Fancy Dancer in Oklahoma. Please enjoy this interview and if you have any comments or questions, you can register and post your thoughts on the Forums. There will be a link to the Forums at the top of each page.

Read the Wallace Coffey Interview

On January 14, 2009 I had the privilege of conducting a very in-depth interview with the current Comanche Nation Chairman and popular Pow-Wow Emcee, Wallace Coffey. I don't think Wallace has had many chances to just sit down and answer the type of questions I felt were important to him. The questions were quite simple in nature, but Wallace really surprised me with the immense level of detail he exhibited as he graciously answered each question. You can read the interview by clicking "here".
